Temple Run:Unlock-able Characters Guide.

Guy Dangerous -Guy Dangerous is "just your average explorer." As the default character in Temple Run, you'll probably use Guy the most. Scarlett Fox -Scarlett Fox is next up. As a "cunning escape artist" Scarlett is a natural fit for Temple Run. It'll take 10,000 coins to unlock this character. Barry Bones -Barry Bones is a "city cop with an attitude." You'd think this makes him tougher, but he can easily succumb to monkeys, tree roots, and drop-offs just like any other character. You'll need 10,000 coins to unlock Barry. Karma Lee -Karma Lee is the next unlockable character. At 25,000 coins, you'll find Karma Lee to be quite the expensive unlock, but with "the fastest legs in the Far East," it's probably worth it. Montana Smith -Montana Smith probably reminds you of another adventurer. In fact, Temple Run's store description says that he is "the second greatest explorer ever." At 25,000 coins, you'd think you'd unlock the greatest explorer ever, but it's nice to know Montana Smith doesn't claim to be anything he's not. Francisco Montoya -Francisco Montoya is a conquistador on the hunt for gold. You'll have had to be on the hunt for gold for quite some time since it costs 25,000 coins to unlock him. Zack Wonder -Zack Wonder is the last unlockable character added to Temple Run. You wouldn't think a football star would find himself in a jungle temple, but Wonder is there for you to play as if you've got 25,000 coins lying around for the unlock.

Tips,Tricks,Cheat Codes,Hints for Temple Run2  will teach you on how to resurrect twice in one run.
Did you know that you can actually use the resurrection item twice in one run? Here's how to use the power-up for an extremely long run:

1) Make sure you have more than one resurrection power-up in stock. Obviously you'll need more than one if you'd like to use two in one run.

2) You have to double-tap the resurrection power-up to activate it. The power-up will keep you from dying for a few minutes.

3) Once the wings wear off, you have to run 1000m before using the second resurrection power-up.

With that distance and two resurrections in your run, you'll definitely hit a high score that you can brag about to your friends.

 Temple run:Comfort and Control.

Tips,Tricks,Cheat Codes,Hints for Temple Run2 will Teach you about the easiest way to earn a high score. This is a matter of comfort and helping your hand survive a record-setting run. You will absolutely cramp up if you don't hold your phone properly. With all the tilt control needed to navigate Temple Run's twisting platforms, hold your phone improperly will inhibit you from making it through a long run.

Hold your phone with your hand wrapped around it horizontally, with fingers on one side and your thumb on the other. Determine which hand you're most comfortable swiping side-to-side and up and down with and then hold the phone with the opposite hand.

  Temple run:Upgrades.

Don't worry yourself with the character you're playing as or single-use powerups like the resurrection or boost. Those can come in handy later when you're really pushing for a leaderboard topping run, but in the beginning, it's best to upgrade with the coin magnet powerup. Once you've got your hands on that, it'll be easier to horde more and more coins in later runs.

As you progress you should unlock upgrades in the following order: Coin Magnet, Double Value, 50 Coin, Invisibilty, and 250 M Boost.

Temple run:Up or Down

Many of the obstacles that Temple Run would like you to slide under can be jumped over, so it's a good idea to be prepared to jump more than slide. In fact, a high score is readily attainable if your muscle memory defaults to jumping over more obstacles than sliding under.

Many of the obstacles that Temple Run would like you to slide under can be jumped over, so it's a good idea to be prepared to jump more than slide. In fact, a high score is readily attainable if your muscle memory defaults to jumping over more obstacles than sliding under.

Also remember that until you reach extremely high distances, Temple Run will not mix up the obstacles one right after the other. Basically if you see roots, expect more roots in the short term. If you see flames, the same can be said.

Temple run:Money Can't Buy Life.

While the resurrection single-use powerup might actually refute that claim, it stands to reason that you should be much more concerned with your well-being in Temple Run than with the coins that might stray from the center of the path.

It can be tempting to make a big effort to tilt your phone side to side to grab the odd strand of coins, but in reality, there's more profit in a longer run than there is in those distractions. If you're really interested in earning a ton of dough, focus on the obstacles in front of you and stick to the middle path (unless the middle path is missing).

Once you've got the double coins upgrade, this advice will really ring true as the more valuable coins don't appear until after 1500 meters.

 Temple run: Purposely Trip.

Later as the player starts to move much faster you can actually trip on purpose to slow yourself down. Trip twice and the monkeys will catch you, so you have to be careful. There are two easy ways to trip. Don't avoid the smaller tree root, walk right over it or swipe to turn without being at a turn. This only works on the paths that have edges that keep you from falling off.

Reader Ross writes in to add to our Temple Run tips:

Temple run:Take To The Air Before As Soon As You See Cliff Hangers.

Cliff Hangers can be literal heart stoppers. It’s never unusual for someone to totally freak out as soon as they see these tough-to-navigate looking areas. Stay calm as soon as you see one safe that’s completely absent and one side that’s still intact. Here’s a good tip – when you spot a cliff hanger, jump. While you’re still in the air, lean towards the safe side of the cliff hanger you’re currently dealing with. During some of the faster stage runs, your reaction time to Cliff Hangers won’t be on point as much. Just go ahead and jump to the safe side instead of running into them. Save yourself the frustration.

Temple run:Place A High Priority on Improving The Right Upgrades.

Those upgrades are what’s going to be the difference between getting a super high score or a saddening final score. Once you’re at the upgrade menu, make sure to spruce up your coin upgrades first. Secondly, you should pay attention to the score multiplier increases and pickup spawns upgrades. Getting these upgrades to a higher level will aid you in getting more coins, higher scores and those all-too-helpful power up’s during the tougher stages. If you’re one of these folks that wants to keep your eyes on the trail, make sure you throw a lot of points into the coin magnet ability. The shield duration and boost distance upgrades aren’t super integral to your stage completion, but try and give them some attention anyway.

Temple run:Just Keep Your Mine Cart Tilted If You Want To Win.

Those underground cart portions of the game are some of the more interesting parts of this sequel. While they may be fun, they’re also pretty hard to master. Do like us and just keep the cart tilted to the right direction if you wanna have a higher success rate. It might sound crazy, but this method works better than just getting ready to tilt as soon as you feel like the time is right. While you’re in the cart, try and aim for the gems that are easier to obtain. Those hard-to-reach gems are hard to reach for a reason. Once you get good enough at these mine cart sections, then go on ahead and pick up those hard-to-reach gems. Just keep your eyes peeled for those sudden forks on the track and those entirely missing tracks.

Temple run:Time Your Jumps When You Come Across Double Obstacles.

During your Temple Run 2 playthroughs, you’ll certainly run into obstacles that are seemingly tied together. These can be a pain to pass, but here’s another tip that involves jumping – time you leap at the very last second before you spot a pair of obstacles next to each other. If you’re good enough (or just incredibly lucky), you’ll clear both obstacles in one leap.

Temple run:Make Sure You Complete A Stage’s Objectives As Much As Possible.

Temple Run 2 will challenge you with in-game objectives that you should definitely take aim at. Every time you spot a new objective on your Objectives screen, take note of it and complete it. Knocking out objectives will no doubt make your game experience easier since you’ll level up faster and get your multiplier to an insane level. We know the coin collecting and higher scores mileage is what most of you will aim for, but your best bet is to complete those objectives.

Temple run:Utilize Those Jump and Slide Combo.

One move that will definitely get you far is the jump and slide combo. Some stages will throw obstacles and quick turns right next to each other.

There’s a way to be get past these seemingly impossible pit stops. Use a jump or slide before these sections and you” turn the corner without a care in the world. One other cool tip? While you’re sliding, you can immediately enter into a jump.

Lean Around Those Red Tiles Temple Run.

Those damn red tiles can knock you down pretty quickly if your reaction time isn’t up to par. You may instinctively jump once you spot some red tiles, which works sometimes.

But during some of the harder stages, these red tiles could be immediately followed by obstacles. Jumping might not be the smartest option for those instances. Do the right thing and try to lean around those red tiles. This method will save you from the dissatisfaction of jumping red tiles and landing on some spiked wheels.

Temple run Shield.

In the top left corner of the screen is your “shield” meter. One of the elements of the game is that as you collect the coins (more on those shortly) during your run, your shield meter increases. From there, you can double tap the screen and activate a shield that will protect you from most of the obstacles in the game—the exception being it will not save you from falling off the plain of play. These aren’t terribly common in comparison to other obstacles, so the shield is fairly useful in getting you further in the game and increasing your score.

 Temple run Coins.

Scattered liberally throughout your run are coins. In the top right corner of the screen just under the high score is your coin count during the run. The coins will be on the right hand, middle, or left hand side. Grabbing them is a matter of using the accelerometer.

Temple run Movement.

In the above screenshot you can see one of the common obstacles that you will encounter in the game. You have four swipe options—you can swipe up to jump, down to slide, and then left or right to turn when your path runs out. In this case, you can only slide under to progress—there are a few that you can either slide or jump over (fire comes to mind), and all of the obstacles are fairly straightforward and logical in what you need to do.

  Temple run Cart Riding.

When you get a bit further in your run, you’ll encounter a cart that you’ll hop in and ride along the rails. You’ll have similar obstacles as when you’re running, meaning you’ll have to jump or duck under obstacles. The only wrinkle to this cart is the part where you have to use the accelerometer to curve around bends. It’s somewhat tricky to navigate, actually, as on the curves it might take you a bit to realize that you should not completely tilt your phone. If you do, you’ll fall off the rails. Instead, just slightly tilt the phone and you’ll be fine.

Ape/Save me!

If you swipe to the right or the left too early, you’ll bump into the sides of the level and it will spawn in this giant ape to run behind you. If you hit any other obstacles, the ape will grab you and eat you for dinner—so don’t do that. It’s fairly easy to not have your run ended by the ape, unless, of course, you’re trying to take screenshots of the game for your dedicated readers!

Save Me!:
Each time you die you have the option to use the “save me”, which is essentially a new lease on life. There is no point decrease for using the save me, but it will cost you gems that can be collected throughout your run, or purchased for money. Each time you die increases the gems you have to use to continue (1, 2, 4, and so on for each death).
